WindForAll has been accepted as an approved club by North Somerset Council, which means that WindForAll members can use the part of the beach at Uphill in Weston-super-Mare designated as the WindZone. It’s very important that everyone follows the rules detailed below.

  • Once you join WindForAll you should print out your Membership Confirmation email, and the Insurance Policy.
  • Keep these documents with you when using the WindZone.
  • Read the Rules below and follow them at all times.
  • Print and read the WindforAll Risk Assesment and follow it at all times
  • Failure to adhere to the following site regulations or specific club regulations will result in your membership of Windforall being terminated.

1. Parakarts, Mini Land Yachts, Sailkarts, Kite Buggies, Landsails, Speedsails and Kite Boards may be used in the WindZone area.

2. All windsports use must be within the designated area of the beach.

3. Large Sand and Land Yachts, class 5 and below, are NOT permitted.

4. Carry membership and insurance details. Show them to council staff if requested.

5. If there is a risk of collision always veer to the right and leave sufficient space.

6. Always look before you gybe or tack.

7. When equipment is not being used it should be left in a safe and tidy manner within the WindZone area.

8. Fly or sail within your capabilities and only in winds you are comfortable in.

9. Always wear appropriate protective clothing - safety helmet, gloves, knee and arm pads.

10. Users are Responsible for raising the flags prior to using the area and lowering them when you have finished,keys are available from your club.

11. Please be considerate of other beach users - stop flying if the general public enter the area.

12. All children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

13. Access may be restricted by North Somerset Council.

14. The area will be monitored every two hours.

15. Do not leave litter.
